_Biography                                                                                                                          Jürgen Schütt 
 


       Vita:
  • 1965: Jürgen Schütt is born October, 13, at Monschau, Germany. Already in his early years he is interested in painting and drawing.
  • 1975 - 1981: He attends the Realschule Monschau and the art classes from from Paul Siebertz (sen.).
  • 1980: He takes part in a painting contest organised by LBS bank and wins a prize.
  • 1987: Attendance of the class "Freies Malen und Zeichnen" (Free painting and drawing) at VHS Aachen
  • 1991: Jürgen gets the A-level (Abitur) at the Abendgymnasium Aachen and starts his study in Physics, Mathematics and Architecture.
  • 1992: He dedicates his free time to painting and starts with works in acrylic. The camera is his regular companion and the pictures taken often serve as a draft. If not having the camera he takes sketches of interesting themes.
  • 1997: Jürgen gets his diploma in physics and biomedical engineering.
    His work as a scientist in research and development involves stays in France and Belgium where he encounters many themes and incitations.
  • 1999: He attends a productive session class ("Mappenkurs") at the "bleiberger fabrik" given by Katrin Lubisch. The works are shown on a collective exhibition at the "Friedrich Spee Haus", Aachen.
  • 2002: To improve his technique and knowledge on painting Jürgen joins the classes nude drawing ("Aktzeichnen") and light and shadow in painting ("Licht und Schatten in der Malerei") at the "bleiberger fabrik" given by Prof. Dr. Edward Zoworka.
  • 2005: His Work as engineer takes him to different places in the U.S.A. Taking the opportunity to travel around he discovers the clear elementary and sparse landscape on Cape Cod with its severe shadows as well as the enjoyable architecture of New England for the development of his next art works.
    In this year Jürgen has his first exhibition as a painter in Aachen/Victoria Haus.
  • 2006: Class by Prof. Dr. Edward Zoworka entitled "free painting studio" ("Atelier Freie Malerei") where he learns how to refine his skills.
  • 2008: Exhibition at the Sparda-Bank West, Aachen, from March to May 2008.
  • 2008: New abstract remittance works comprising technical subjects for the Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics GmbH (see side tracks).
  • Currently preparing an exhibition at the Büchel-Palais (Aixcellent Aachen) in May 2009.
